Care Guide

Your Bombaby neon is a handcrafted work of art – stitched slowly, printed with care, and made to be lived in. Like all good things, it needs a little tenderness to last.

Here’s how to keep your piece glowing for as long as possible:
- Wash by hand or on a very short, cool/cold cycle: Always alone, or with similar colours.
- Wash inside out: Helps protect the vibrant prints and neon racing stripes.
- Reshape immediately and line dry in the shade: Prevents colour transfer and keeps your stripes sharp.
- Iron only on the reverse: This shields the neon prints and preserves their pop.
- Neon, the natural way: Our azo-free dyes are free from harsh chemicals, better for the planet and your skin. The colours will begin to soften after 10–15 washes.
- No bleach, no tumble dryer, no drama: Harsh chemicals and heat will fast-track fading – skip them entirely.
- Go easy on perfumes, deodorants and sprays: These can interfere with the dye’s integrity. Less is more when you’re already this fabulous.
- A note on colour: our azo-free dyes are kind to the planet but may leave a little coloured ‘fairy dust’ (mainly pink) on the surface at first. This can transfer onto lighter fabrics during the first few wears, so please take care – especially with upholstery, leather goods, and other light surfaces. It’s temporary and should wash out easily.

And remember: The colour fade is not a flaw – it’s part of the story. These pieces are designed to evolve with you. Ethical | Bespoke | Handmade

Every Bombaby piece is a labour of love, not mass production. Designed in Rutland and handcrafted in Jaipur, our bespoke block print bedding and quilted accessories take 4–6 weeks to create - from hand-blocking and stitching, to quilting and their voyage from India to the UK.

Each fabric is printed to order by skilled artisans using the centuries-old technique of hand block printing - an intricate process where wooden blocks are hand-carved, dipped in natural dyes, and carefully pressed onto fabric, layer by layer. Because of this, you may notice small smudges, ink splashes, or slight variations in the print - these are not flaws, but the hallmarks of true craftsmanship.

To reduce waste, we also use surplus fabrics for linings, piping, and trims - so colours and patterns may vary slightly from batch to batch. This only adds to the bespoke, one-of-a-kind nature of our designs.

Unlike factory-made textiles, no two pieces are ever identical, making your item truly unique. These handcrafted details are a badge of authenticity, celebrating slow fashion, tradition, and artistry.

We also print to order to minimise waste and plant a tree for every purchase, helping to offset emissions.
