Our Warranty & Care Promise

Our commitment

Every Bombaby piece is handmade in small batches by our atelier in Jaipur, then carefully checked before it leaves our studio in Rutland. We take real pride in our craftsmanship.

If a genuine manufacturing fault shows up during the warranty period, we’ll always do our best to put it right, either by repairing or replacing your item.

 

What our warranty covers

Our warranty covers manufacturing faults that appear during normal, everyday use, including:

  • Structural stitching or seam issues
  • Hardware problems (such as zips) where there’s been no strain or misuse
  • Genuine craftsmanship faults

 

What isn’t covered

To protect the longevity of your items and ensure fairness to all customers, our warranty does not cover:

 

1. Damage caused by not following our detailed care guides

This includes:

  • Colour transfer from ignoring first-wear dye guidance
  • Shrinkage, warping or misshaping from incorrect washing, drying or ironing
  • Harsh detergents, bleach, soaking, or machine washing items labelled hand-wash only
  • Overstuffing, poor storage, or excessive strain on zips and handles

If damage is clearly caused by improper care, the warranty won’t apply.

 

2. Everyday wear and tear

Fading, softening, pilling and general signs of use are part of the natural life of textiles and aren’t considered faults.

 

3. Accidental damage
Spills, stains, snags, pet damage or general mishaps after delivery.

 

4. Third-party alterations or repairs
Any repairs or alterations carried out by someone other than Bombaby will void the warranty.

 

5. Natural handmade variations
Small differences in print placement, colour depth or block-print character aren’t defects. They’re part of what makes each piece unique.

 

Damaged or faulty on arrival

(These are not warranty issues)

If your item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please let us know within 7 days of delivery and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund in line with our store policy.

After 7 days, these cases cannot be processed as “damaged on arrival” and will instead fall under our standard warranty assessment.

 

Warranty length

  • Full-price items: 6-month warranty
  • Seconds, samples and discounted items: 1-month warranty

 

How to make a warranty claim

  1. Email hello@bombaby.co.uk with your order number, a short description of the issue, and a few clear photos.
  2. We’ll review your claim within 3 working days. If approved, we’ll arrange a repair, replacement or store credit, depending on the issue and stock availability.
  3. Wherever possible, we’ll always choose repair first. It’s better for the planet and keeps beautifully made textiles in use for longer.
  4. Proof of purchase is required for all claims

Every Bombaby piece is crafted to last, and we stand by that with a lifetime repair service.

If an issue arises after your warranty period, we’re still here for you. We can usually repair your item for a small handling fee to cover the work and materials involved. Our goal is always to restore your piece so you can keep enjoying it, year after colourful year.
